Doug is a world class guitarist, bassist, songwriter, and now producer.

For the past twenty-five years, Doug has been an integral member of Western Canada's jazz community. He has worked with a wide range of artists, playing guitar with Melody Diachun, Karin Plato, Jay Thomas, and John Stowell, and bass with Charlie Rouse, Jennifer Scott, Tommy Banks, P.J. Perry, Barry Romberg, Bob Brough, Campbell Ryga, and blues legend Big Miller.

A native of Calgary, Doug was a mainstay of the city's artistic community for many years: He was "first call" for numerous live music, theatre, radio, television and jingle productions; with "Decidedly Jazz Dance Works" he was hired as arranger, guitarist and bassist, and featured in their productions "No Small Feets" and "Classic Jam." Both shows headlined at major venues in the jazz festivals of Vancouver, Edmonton, Calgary and Victoria. Doug has presented his original compositions with his quartet in concert halls and on CKUA and CBC radio. He was a faculty member of the Jazz and Contemporary Music Program at Mount Royal College, and an instructor at the University of Calgary.

Based in Vancouver since 2000, Doug continues to thrive in many areas as a guitarist, bassist, studio musician, composer, arranger and producer.
